Eli and Allen Zalkin founded ZALKIN, INC. in 1926. In their garage, using scissors, they cut rags which were collected from alleys around town. The business eventually grew and in 1989 moved to our current location in Council Bluffs, Iowa. In 1992 Zalkin expanded and opened a plant in Brownsville, Texas.
